Can you build the winning fleet? This cool version of the classic Battleship game lets you build your ships brick by brick, either the classic versions or your own custom designs! Bulk up your fleet by building heavily armed super ships, any way you want. Then call the shots to try to hit your opponent’s ships. If you can sink them all, you win!

My eight-year old grandson has Hasbros standard Battleship kit, and he finagled me into playing with him. My brothers and I used to play with paper and pencil, essentially the same game. He was participating in some kind of fund raiser at his school subsequent to our playing the basic Battleship game, and he purchased a used set, for us to play with. Next time he came over my house, he brought it along. The used kit was missing a lot of parts, including both game boards and several ships and cannons. (Toys offered for sale are supposed to be 'lightly used', he got ripped off.) While I was inventorying the remains of the kit, he was contentedly loading about 25 cannons on one battleship hull assembly. (Supposed to go 5 on a battleship, 4 on a cruiser, 3 each on a sub and destroy and 2 on a patrol boat.)

He was a little crestfallen, but I ordered a new identical kit at Amazon with the promise of delivery in a week. He seemed to enjoy stacking cannons on a battleship, so who am I to argue. It's adds another activity to playing battleship that only an eight year old boy (or his grandfather) can understand. By the time the kit arrived the next week, he'd lost all interest in it. (The weather was good) and he hasn't brought it up since. I still keep it on the shelf for a future rainy weekend.
